WP Categories Settings

  1. Admin label: this helps you identify better than you did with this element. This will guide you while doing further customization. You should name the admin label by keeping the relevance to the purpose of the element you have added. This will surely save you from a lot of hassles.
  2. Widget title: This option will allow you to add a title to the menu block.
  3. Dropdown: Enable this option to display the categories in a drop-down menu rather than as a list. This is handy if you want to save space or have a lot of categories.
  4. Show post counts: If this box is checked, the total number of published posts for that particular category will be displayed next to the link. You can show post counts with both the list and dropdown menu formats.
  5. Show hierarchy: If you have parent and child categories (subcategories within main categories) you can choose to display the hierarchy. You can show category hierarchies with both the list and dropdown menu formats.
  6. Text align: This feature allows you to set the horizontal alignment of a text. A text can be left or right-aligned, or centered.
  7. Custom class: Write the class name used for writing custom CSS or JS.
  8. Custom ID: Give a custom ID to override the auto-generated ID.
